Mililani High School was well-represented in this year’s Hawaii Education Association’s Creative Writing Festival.

A reading/reception was held at UH-Manoa’s Orvis Auditorium May 19 to honor the winners of the festival, where top placers were invited to read their winning entries for the audience.

The annual contest accepts works by students (under teacher supervision) from all Hawaii public schools in four categories: free verse poetry, short story, problem-solving and essay.

Each winner earned a cash reward and two copies of Write On, HEA! 2007, the annual volume featuring winning entries.
