By popular demand, Camp Erdman hosts a special weekend for military families Dec. 19 to 21.

“It’s going to be a fun weekend,” said Josh Heimowitz, executive director of the Mokuleia campground. “It wasn’t planned to do this, but we got requests from a number of military families who have spouses that have recently deployed, or will be deployed before the holidays. They said, ‘It would be great to come to the camp before the holidays.’ “

Activities will include the ropes course and archery with some gingerbread-house cooking, holiday crafts, and seasonal songs around the campfire.

The cabins can sleep eight or 16 people. A military discount is available for this holiday camp, and reservations can be made by calling 637-4615, ext 23.
