Pros Share Techniques In Free Botanical Garden Classes

Wahiawa Botanical Garden will give green thumbs a real work-out with its upcoming classes, which are accepting reservations now for a variety of times and dates.

To reserve a space for the free programs, call Brian Koren at 621-5463. The classes are listed below.

* The Plant Doctor - Diagnose and cure whatever ails your plant with help from the Plant Doctor at 9 a.m. Oct. 5, Nov. 2 and Dec. 7.


* Plant Identification - Learn to identify plants properly with the same terminology and hands-on techniques used by the pros at 9 a.m. Oct. 11, Nov. 8 and Dec. 6.

* Propagation Techniques - Make your garden flourish with plant propagation techniques at 9 a.m. Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 14.

* Garden Design - Design your own Hawaiian garden with guidance from landscape architect Anna Yorba of Hawaiian Garden Design LLC. The hands-on workshop offers a personalized planting plan and tips on how the use of noninvasive and native Hawaiian plants helps both you and the environment; from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 20.
