The public is invited to discuss the Pupukea Paumalu Long-Range Resources Management Plan draft at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Sunset Beach Elementary School cafeteria.

Feedback is welcome on the plan, which has been in discussion since June 2007 when the property was purchased by the Trust for Public Land. The title for 25 acres of it (along Kamehameha Highway) was transferred to the city parks department and 1,119 acres transferred to the state parks division.

Last year the North Shore Community Land Trust mobilized the Pupukea Paumalu Stewardship Fund and began developing long-range management plans to propose to the new landowners. The process includes research on the property, interviews and surveys, a community planning committee and working groups, meetings and work days.
