Time To Comment On Plan For Sunset Park Makeover

Del.icio.usDeadline is Oct. 8 for the public to comment on the city’s improvement plans for Sunset Beach Neighborhood Park.
One of the first parts of the park that may be changed is to switch the tennis, volleyball and children’s play areas around. The children’s playground equipment also will be replaced. Other proposed changes include upgrading all areas that don’t meet current government safety and accessibility standards. Design funds have been appropriated, and the construction money is expected next year.
Comments may be sent to the city Department of Design and Construction, 650 S. King St., Honolulu, HI 96813 with copies to Gerald Park Urban Planner, 95-595 Kanamee St. #324, Mililani, HI 96789 and to the Office of the Environmental Quality Control, 235 S. Beretania St., Suite 702, Honolulu, HI 96813.
