Keep the North Shore Country plans a second community forum on the future of Turtle Bay from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8 at Kahuku High School.

The program begins with talk story sessions at the community booths, followed by a pule at 7 p.m. from Rev. Bob Nakata. Dee Dee Letts will moderate discussions and updates from elected officials, agency representatives and community guests until 9. For more information, go to http://www.keepthenorthshore-country.org.

There will be a hearing before the Hawaii Supreme Court (Dec. 17) on the need for a supplemental EIS for the Turtle Bay Resort Expansion Plan. KNSC and the Hawaii chapter of the Sierra Club petitioned the courts to prevent final approval of five new hotels and 1,000 luxury condos at the North Shore resort.
