There are still many interesting things about termites that you may not know, and a June 17 seminar at Mililani High School will deliver the facts. One interesting point: Termites cost Hawaii homeowners more than $100 million annually in pest control and damage repairs.

University of Hawaii termite expert Julian Yates will lead the free program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. next Tuesday at the high school, covering basic facts about the wood-eating insects and an update on the UH Termite Project: Educate to Eradicate.

Registration is required by calling 622-1634. For more information, call the Termite Project at 956-2456.
