The 63rd annual Veterans Day Parade, sponsored by Wahiawa Lions Club, marches through town at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 to honor the military veterans and troops overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The theme for this year’s parade is “Take Pride in our Veterans and Service Members,” and it features a joint-services color guard, the Royal Hawaiian Band and many more units, moving up California Avenue from Kaala Elementary School to Wahiawa District Park. Vietnam veteran and Army Lt. Col (Ret.) Yoshiaki Kakazu is grand marshal, and Maj. Gen. Robert L. Caslen, commanding general of the 25th Infantry Division, will address the crowd at parade’s end.

About 45 marching units, 17 vehicles and five bands are expected to participate. For more information, call Donald Sagara at 621-0115 or 258-3577.
