A public hearing will be held at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 29 at Pupukea Beach Park regarding the Burger family application for a major special management area use permit.

The Burgers intend to subdivide their 7-acre Waialua property into 26 lots. The parcel has been in the family for years. The permit is needed to complete the subdivision. The plan is to sell the 22 lots and keep four lots in the family.

When Burger Property Development presented the plan to the North Shore Neighborhood Board, they indicated they plan to demolish the four homes that are already on the property in order to subdivide the lots. The properties are located at 61-210 and 61-220 Kamehameha Hwy.

Those who wish to testify should register prior to the hearing and submit a written copy of their testimony. Comments may also be sent in prior to the hearing to the city Department of Planning and Permitting.

For more information on the project, call 768-8018.
