Waipio Zippy’s Zips Into Shape

Del.icio.usZippy’s Waipio reopened recently after a three-week period of renovations.
Improvements include new paint and upholstery, kitchen upgrades and repairs, paving of the back parking lot and a total re-roofing.
According to Zippy’s chief operating officer Paul Yokota, the project is part of the local restaurant chain’s effort to keep current with customer tastes.
“The idea is - whether it’s in the front of the house or the back - any improvements we make to our stores will reflect improvements to the product,” he explained.
“Each Zippy’s is unique - different paint colors, artwork, etc. - because it is representative of the communities that they’re in, and we want to make sure they are the best representation we can create.”
Zippy’s Waipio is located at 94-1082 Ka Uka Blvd. and features a dine-in restaurant, take-out counter and Napoleon’s Bakery. For hours or more information, call 671-1865.
