So much art and so little time. That could be the theme of Haleiwa’s yearly celebration of the arts, because once a year is never enough. The July 21-22 festival, held at the beach park and throughout the historic town, had the official theme of “Celebrate the Arts! Rediscover the Artist Within.” It offered the best of 142 juried visual artists, student art, chalk art, festival prints, shirts and posters, art demonstrations and children’s art activities, plus music, dance, storytellers, trolley tours and food that makes any town celebration a success. The artists look forward to HAF each summer, including Kristine Provenza who put it this way: “It’s a great place and time to reconnect with fellow artists, friends and clients.”
