The Oahu Arts Center may be without a physical home so far, but the non-profit group is building a solid ohana to help fulfill the dream. This fall supporters gathered on the Mililani Golf Course lawn to enjoy the art of fine music and fine food, all for the cause of making the long-planned facility a reality in Mililani Mauka. Henry Kapono headlined the Sept. 22 gala that also featured Paul Hanna and No Trends, Halau Hula Keli’i Pu’uku O Ke Ao, a silent auction and several art activities for paying guests. People browsed while consuming offerings from a dozen restaurants, including Central Oahu eateries Big City Diner, Haleiwa Eats and the golf course’s own kitchen.
