With a combination of home-grown and headline entertainment, Wahiawa’s Trinity Lutheran School held its first Spring Fling fundraiser in five years and made enough money ($5,000-plus) to plant new grass on the playground. The crowd, the music and the rides were “great,” declared Stacy Lee, parent and fling chairwoman. “I saw a lot of non-school folks there, and we ran through all of our scrip,” she added. Vaihi, Beach 5, W Performing Arts, Na Papa Hula o Noelani and Kulani Dance Studio all took the stage. The owner of Wahiawa-based Xtreme Fun Rentals, TLS alum Delbert Kim, gave them a discount, too. A May Day luau and evening pageant May 2 at Leilehua High capped off the semester. For more school news, call 621-6033.
