Aina Haina Shopping Center is buzzing with shoppers hungry for bargains and food, which is good news for the newly opened Genki Sushi.

Located in the space formerly occupied by Komokata Japanese Restaurant, Genki Sushi offers its famous brand of affordable and convenient conveyor-belt sushi. Favorites includes spicy tuna, tekka maki and California roll, while chicken karaage, miso soup, edamame and agedashi tofu are popular non-sushi items.

The new eatery is part of a renovation plan for the 70,000-square-foot center. The concept is to transform the center into a more modern venue with a central food court. Phase one of renovations is scheduled to be completed this year, and phase two in 2011.

Genki Sushi Aina Haina is the eighth Genki Sushi restaurant on Oahu. For more information, call 373-4033.
