If the usual holiday tunes coming at you from car radios, shopping malls and iPods don’t quite satisfy that seasonal music craving, a more intimate and traditional treat is in store at Chaminade University’s Mystical Rose Oratory this weekend.

The 30-voice Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble will sing contemporary tunes and nostalgic classics at its Christmas concerts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Fans are encouraged to warm their voices up ahead of time because the audience will be invited to sing along.

Parking on campus is free and plentiful. Concert tickets are available at HonoluluBoxOffice.com, by calling 550-8457 and at the door. Admission is $20, $15 for seniors and military and $5 for students. The best seats in the house are available for $35.

For more information, call music director Tim Carney at 226-8899.
