Japan-America Institute of Management Science is taking applications for a Management scholarship that includes a one-week course in Tokyo.

The scholarship, made available by Fujitsu Ltd., will cover tuition for the East-West Knowledge Leaders Program as well as a one-week study trip to Tokyo for individuals who are aspiring to contribute to the Asia-Pacific or Hawaii region.

Applicants must have a clear professional vision of how the knowledge and skills obtained through EWLKP will help them to achieve their professional and personal goals.

Bringing professionals together from Asia-Pacific, Europe and soon the U.S., the EWLKP couples leadership skills training with liberal arts studies. One of the main focuses of the program is to delegate global citizenship and leadership for the common good of humanity.

While in Tokyo, scholarship winners can expect to learn about the cultural aspects of Japan. There will be a lecture on Shinto, a traditional tea ceremony and a tour of Kamakura.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of full-time work experience. For more information, call 396-7101 or visit jaims.org.
