Kaiser High School is partnering with the Hawaii Kai Jaycees to jump into spring with its annual Spring Fest benefit, set for 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 27.

This year’s theme is “Happy Days in Hawaii Kai” and will feature rides, games, craft booths, a country store, dunking booth, pony rides and food. About 100 cars are expected for its hot rod car show, and Mobile Gamer Guys will be keep game fans busy.

Entertaining are the Aina Haina Elementary School choir, Niu Valley Middle School band, the Beat Boys and various hula halau, among others.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to sit under the trees and enjoy the entertainment. The kids will have so much fun, there’s so many activities for them to take part in,” said Linda Lau, event organizer and PTSA member.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the school, she added. “Because of the budget cuts, the monies will be extremely helpful for purchasing textbooks and supplies.”
