KBPA Honors Father Chun At Banquet

The Kaimuki Business and Professional Association will honor the Rev.Franklin Chun of Epiphany Episcopal Church at its installation banquet, set for 5:30 p.m. June 18 at Verbano Italiano Ristorante.

Chun, who is resigning from the KBPA board of directors, will receive the group’s Recognition Award for his years of service.

“He’s contributed a lot by getting involved in many of our events,“said KBPA secretary Denise Motohiro.“We appreciate his generosity, upbeat attitude and willingness to volunteer.”

The group hosts several community events each year, among them a Halloween costume contest, the Kaimuki Kanikapila, Christmas parade and Easter egg hunt.

Officers for 2008-2009 are president Sharon Ogata, vice president John Kobayashi,secretary Motohiro and treasurer Danica Fong-Shoji.

Reservations are due by June 9 to KBPA, c/o the Honolulu Board of Realtors, 1136 12th Ave. #200, Honolulu HI 96816. Cost is $40 per person, or $320 for a table of eight.
