‘SHOUT!’ Returns To The ‘60s

The mini-skirts of the ‘60s are back in Diamond Head Theatre’s SHOUT! The Mod Musical, on stage March 19-April 4 with songs such as Downtown, and You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me.

The show follows five women’s lives, told through love songs of the era. Fashion, music, dances and hair from London in the 1960s are embraced by Hawaii Kai actresses Vanessa Manuel Mazzullo, who plays yellow girl, and Renee Noveck (green girl). Also in the colorful cast: Tricia Marciel (blue), Megan Mount (red) and Zenia Moura (orange).

Deena Dray,DHT executive director, said one of the many songs she likes is in the finale Downtown.


“Life beats you up,“she said, “but there’s always a place to ‘forget all your cares’ - whether it’s an actual physical place, or just being with people that care about you.We should all go ‘where all the lights are bright!’”

Recommended for ages 13 and older, the shows are at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and at 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12 to $42.For more information, call 733-0274.
