Taste of East Oahu brings Oahu’s top chefs and talented musicians to Calvary By The Sea Lutheran Church from 6 to 9 p.m. April 24 to give guests an evening of fine food, wine and entertainment - all to benefit the church’s Angel Network Charities, its school and youth group.

The fourth annual gala features samplings from 3660 on the Rise, Maile’s Thai Bistro, Chai’s Island Bistro, Duke’s Waikiki, Hula Grill, Hokulani Bakery, JJ Bistro and French Pastry, Memoirs Hawaii, Michel’s, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Wild Mushroom. HASR Wine Co. will provide more than 40 of its wines.

Jon Osorio and Steven Brown, Paul Shimomoto and Calvary’s halau Na Wahine O Ke Kai Ola will entertain.


Tickets cost $60 in advance or $75 at the door. Oceanside VIP tables (seats 10) are $1,500.Reserved Mauka tables (seats eight) are $650. For tickets or more information, call 551-3117 or visit http://www.taste-ofeastoahu.org.


Free parking is available at Holy Nativity Episcopal Church and Aina Haina Elementary School, with a free shuttle service operating every 15 minutes until 9:15 p.m.

Angel Network Charities maintains a food pantry and variety of services for East Oahu’s homeless, elderly and hungry residents.
