West Fest Taking Over Kapolei Park

Candied apples, cotton candy and lemonade are just some of the sweet treats that will make the West Oahu Family Festival an ono choice for weekend fun.

Presented by the City and County of Honolulu, The Konishiki Kids Foundation and Island 98.5, the festival is happening this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Kapolei Regional Park.


The festival features EK Fernandez rides and games, food and live entertainment by talents such as Lost Coast, BET, Kaleo Pilanca, Mauia, Royal Hawaiian Band, Simplicity, HI Town Players, Princess Ilona, Typical Youth, Touch of Gold, H-Trey, One Drop, Audissey, Local Uprising, Owen Watson and Kaimana Kono.

Also taking the stage is a fashion show with Look Hawaii Magazine featuring HiFlo Trend, Missing Polynesia and Oahu Grown Company. And Konishiki himself will make an appearance on Friday for a meet-and-greet.

Hours are 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.


Wristbands are available through Ticketmaster or Walmart locations and cost $18 (plus Ticketmaster fee). The wristband is good for unlimited rides 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday. Discount rides (two coupons each) are noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
