* STORYTELLERS’ SONGS The Traveling Storytellers present The Songs of Christmas: Who Wrote Them and Why? at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Kapolei Library. Call 693-7050.

* YOGA CLASS Roselle Torres hosts a one-hour yoga session at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at The Healing Arts Center (behind Cutter Ford in Aiea). Cost is $15. Call 294-0743.

* ROYAL MUSIC The Royal Hawaiian Band performs a free concert at noon Dec. 17 at Kapolei Hale. Call 922-5331.

* SANTA VISIT Santa Claus makes a guest appearance for free photos and gives out goody bags at 10 a.m. Dec. 18 at Pearl City Library. Registration required; call the children’s reference desk at 453-6566.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 18 at Bank of Hawaii in Kapolei; from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 21 at Waikele Center; from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 27 at Kapolei Shopping Center; and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 28 at Ewa Town Center’s Foodland. * TEEN DANCE The Hale Pono Ewa Beach Boys & Girls Clubhouse sponsors a dance from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 19 featuring DJ Ikona Keanu. Admission is $3 for members, $5 for nonmembers and $7 at the door. Call 689-4182.

* POST OFFICE HOURS The Barbers Point/Kalaeloa Post Office has extended its hours for the holiday mailing season to 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through Dec. 19. Call state Sen. Mike Gabbard 586-6830.

* NUTCRACKER Hawaii Ballet Theater presents The Nutcracker at 1 and 4 p.m. Dec. 20, and 4 p.m. Dec. 21 at Leeward Community College Theater. Call 455-0385.

* EWA CHORUS The Ewa Elementary School Chorus performs at 2 p.m. Dec. 20 at Windward Mall in Kaneohe. Call 235-1143.

* PARADES The Waipahu Christmas Parade starts at 3 p.m. at Waipahu District Park (225-4589), and the Ewa Beach Christmas Parade starts at 5 p.m. (368-6206), both on Dec. 20.

* CARNIVAL Waipahu Town Center hosts a Christmas Carnival from 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 20 with train rides, a petting zoo, pony and carnival rides, keiki ID booth, food, prizes, McGruff and Santa. The annual song festival from 4 to 7 p.m. features six schools, churches and programs in concert. Call 677-6700.

* KO OLINA MUSIC The Kaleoaloha Keiki Choir performs at 6 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Ko Olina Marriott resort. Call 779-1397.

* MARSH CLEANUP Hawaii Nature Center volunteers clean up Pouhala Marsh in Waipahu from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 20. Call 955-0100, ext. 18.

* PEARLRIDGE HOURS Pearlridge Center holiday schedule runs from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 12-18; 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Dec. 19-23; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 24; 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 26; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 27, 29-30; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 28, 31 and Jan. 1. Also Santa visits with children from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3:30 to 9 p.m. through Dec. 24 at Pearlridge Downtown Center Court. Photos are available for a fee. Call 488-0981. * FASHION CLASSES Polyphabric Design Studio has sewing, construction, pattern-making and design classes for people age 8 and older of all skill levels from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday in Kapolei.
