* NEIGHBORS ON BOARD Residents wishing to run for a seat on their neighborhood board should mail or hand-carry their candidacy declaration form by Feb. 20 to the Neighborhood Commission. Call 768-3717.

* AIEA MUSIC The Royal Kunia Street Band plays Feb. 20, and Tradewinds plays Feb. 21 at Ige’s Restaurant and 19th Puka, 98-761 Oihana Place. Call 486-3500.

* BLOSSOM FESTIVALContestants in the 57th Cherry Blossom Festival and reigning 56th festival queen and court make a public appearance at noon Feb. 21 in Pearlridge Center Uptown, with entertainment by Halau Hula O Kana Kapeka with kumu hula Dana Henderson. Call 488-0981.

* WETLAND VISIT Hawaii Nature Center leads a “wetland adventure” at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at Pouhala Marsh (between Waipahu and Pearl Harbor), featuring rare birds in a 70-acre wildlife habitat. Fee is $20. Call 955-0100.

* WORMS WORKSHOP Makakilo resident Zac Johnson demonstrates vermicomposting (creating organic fertilizer from kitchen garbage with the help of worms) at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 21 at the Kapolei Library. Call 693-7050.

* PARENTING WORKSHOP Two free presentations on effective parenting are set for 8:30 and 10 a.m. Feb. 22 in Mauka Lani Elementary School cafeteria, 92-1300 Panana St. in Makakilo. Children’s activities are available. Call 744-4962.
