* NEIGHBORS Ewa Neighborhood Board meets at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at Ewa Beach Library; Aiea meets at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Aiea Library. Call 768-3710.

* FINANCE TIPS Edward Jones Investments conducts free workshops on the basics of investing in mutual funds, stocks and bonds from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10, 17 and 24 at Aiea High School. Call 485-1567.

* SCHOOL FAIR Holomua Elementary School hosts its annual Ohana Fair from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 11 at 91-1561 Keaunui Drive in Ewa Beach. The public is invited to enjoy live entertainment, great food, games and prizes. Call 685-2000.

* AUDITIONS Leeward Community College Theater holds tryouts at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 and 12 for the play Honor Amongst Thieves by Reb Beau Allen, an LCC alumnus. Call Paul Cravath at 455-0549.

* BON DANCE Pearl City Nursing Home at 919 Lehua Ave. has its annual bon dance from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 12. Money raised from the sale of food and baked goods goes toward the residents’ activities fund. Call 453-1919.

* HO’OLAULEA Aloha Festivals presents the sixth annual Keiki Ho’olaulea with non-stop entertainment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 12 at Pearlridge Center, Uptown and Downtown.

* LIVE MUSIC Uluwehi Guerrero performs songs from his newest CD, Na Mele Hula Aloha, with hula dancers at 2 p.m. Sept. 12 at Borders Waikele. Call 280-5299 or 250-8581.

* TASTE AT KAPOLEI Kapolei Rotary Club coordinates the 10th annual Taste at Kapolei from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 12 at Ko Olina, featuring chefs and food samplings from dozens of restaurants. Tickets cost $75 and $35; proceeds support scholarships for Leeward students. Call 545-2772.

* CANAL CLEANUP Newly formed S.O.S.S. (Save Our Surf and Seals) cleans up opala from Ewa Beach Canal Sept. 12.
