Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* GRIEF WORKSHOP St. Francis Hospice conducts a free grief workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. March 30 at Hawaii Medical Center West’s Clinical Service Center in Ewa Beach. Call 547-8147.

* DANCE SIGNUPS The Pearlridge chapter of Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers students at 7 p.m. March 30 and April 6, 13 and 20 in Waimalu Elementary’s cafeteria for its first quarter American Social classes in bolero,West Coast swing and tango. Classes are from 7 to 9:10 p.m. Tuesdays, April 6-May 25. Call Millie at 836-4579 or Les at 488-3935.

* RAIL WORKSHOP The city presents a design workshop on its Rail Transit Project from 6:30 to 9 p.m. March 30 at Highlands Intermediate School to discuss the Pearl Highlands station (along Kamehameha Highway across from Sam’s Club.) It will have a 1,600-stall park-and-ride and a dedicated off-ramp from H-2. Call 566-2299.

* RECYCLING DISPLAY Kapolei Library houses the city’s educational recycling display during regular library hours through March 31 in the upstairs lobby. Call 693-7050.

* MILITARY NIGHT Waipahu High School hosts an All Academy and Military Scholarship Night from 6 to 9 p.m. March 31 for parents, students and school counselors. U.S. Sen. Dan Inouye will attend along with ROTC officers and more. Call 488-8479.

* COLOR CONTEST Deadline is March 31 to enter the Kapolei Commons Easter coloring contest for keiki age 5 to 10. To download the coloring page and contest details, go to http://www.thekapoleicommons.co m. Winners and their prizes will be announced April 3.

* ROTARY SPEAKER Mayor Mufi Hannemann addresses Kapolei Rotary Club at 7:30 a.m. April 1 in the faculty lounge at Kapolei High School. Call 630-8730.

* BLOOD DRIVES Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 2 at Resurrection of the Lord Church in Waipahu, and from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 3 at Pearlridge Center Uptown near Tilt. Call 845-9966.

* ON STAGE Ho’okahi Sunday at Pearlridge Center Downtown features Po’okela at 1 p.m. and Halau O Mokulehua Puu Ote Iti Ra at 2:30 p.m. April 11. Call 488-0981.

* RUMMAGE SALE Keiki Care Center of Hawaii has its second annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 3 at 99-079 Kauhale St. in Aiea, offering clothes, toys, books and gear. Proceeds support the school. Call 486-3565.

* XERICAPE EGGS Halawa Xeriscape Garden has a workshop on egg decorating, plus a garden egg hunt from 10 a.m. to noon April 3. Fee is $5 per family and registration is due by March 31. Call 748-5363.

* EASTER EVENTS The Lighthouse Outreach Center observes Easter with an Early Easter Celebration from 5:30 to 9 p.m. April 3 at Waipahu Intermediate School, offering inflatable jumpers, games booths, music, young performers and free giveaways.Arise: A Lighthouse Easter Production plays from 6 to 9 p.m. April 4 at the center, located at 94-230 Leokane St. in Waipahu. * BALLROOM DANCE The Pearl City chapter of Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers students for classes in bolero, West Coast swing and intermediate tango from 7 to 8 p.m. April 6 and 13 at Manana Elementary School. Classes meet from 7 to 9:10 p.m. Tuesdays, April 6-May 25. Call Shirley at 456-2129.
