Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* The Funky 4 Corners b-boy heavyweight tourney runs from 5 to 10 p.m. Nov. 22 at the FilCom Center in Waipahu.

* Deadline is Nov. 22 to comment on a zone-change request for Makaiwa Hills, a major residential community targeted for 2020 in the Makakilo-Kapolei area (currently zoned for agriculture). Call city planners at 523-5866.

* Ewa Beach Library is closed Nov. 24 for fumigation and will reopen Nov. 27. The book drop will remain open.

* Leilehua Zonta Club sponsors a lunch and panel from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 25 at Pearl Country Club to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Call Ellen Kawata at 216-9111.


* Pearlridge Center presents musical “Classics"from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturdays, with Ike Pono booked for Nov. 25 in Downtown’s center court. Call 349-8221.

* The Hawaii United Okinawa Association Winter Craft Fair is from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 25 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m Nov. 26 at the Hawaii Okinawa Center, with 160 booths, food, entertainment and a silent auction. Call 676-5400.

* Hawaii Blood Bank conducts a donor drive from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 26 at the Ewa Town Center Foodland. Call 845-9966.

* LCC’s holiday choral concert is at 4 p.m. Nov. 26, when local school choruses will join LCC’s Kanikapila Singers and Chorus Program in traditional and contemporary songs. Tickets are $5. Call 455-0385.

* Hawaiian Trails & Mountain Club leads a 14-mile hike to the Koolau summit from Pearl City at 8 a.m. Nov. 26. Call 674-1459.

* Kaleiopuu Elementary School hosts a family night Nov. 29 with crafts, readings and a reptile exhibit, and a Scholastic Book Fair Nov. 27-Dec. 1. Call 675-0266.

* Mokichi Okada Association Hawaii Health Activities gives free lessons in the practice of jorei, flower arranging and the Japanese tea ceremony from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 27 at Pearlridge Center Uptown (second level, fronting Crazy Shirts). Call 488-0981.

* Kapolei High School’s graffiti documentary, Deadly Lies by Pearl Ridge Elementary students, and Hippies Taking a Stand Against Society by Aiea Intermediate air in November on the Hawaii Student Digital Showcase at 5 p.m. Tuesdays, 4 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. Saturday on ‘Olelo 56.

* The Pearlridge Express at Pearlridge Center at Uptown center court gives daily rides to keiki through Jan. 1. Call 488-0981.

* Waipahu Library (94-275 Mokuola St.) has free storytime, songs and activities now through Dec. 5 at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays for children ages 3 to 5. Parents must accompany their children. Call 675-0358.
