* LIBRARY CLOSURES All public libraries close May 29-31 for the Memorial Day holidays.

* MOMILANI MARKET Pearl City Foundation sponsors Mahiku Farmers Market, launching from 3 to 7 p.m. June 4 at Momilani Community Center and selling fresh local produce and prepared food, flowers and crafts each Friday. Call 456-2073.

* DANCE FUNDRAISER Dance Hawaii hosts a benefit dance from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. June 5 in Aliamanu Middle School cafeteria with social dance, line dancing, light refreshments and live music from Wasabi. Proceeds help Dance Hawaii and the middle school. Call Melvin Nakagawa at 741-7637.

* BON DANCE Hawaii’s Plantation Village launches the island’s o-bon season June 5 with a ceremony at 4 p.m., food sales and a bon dance at 6. Call 677-0110.

* AIEA HIKES Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club plans three hikes in Aiea at 8 a.m. June 5: the ridge,the loop and a “bisectual” route. Go to http://www.htmclub.org.

* HALAUENROLLMENT Halau Hula ‘O Kana Kapeka now accepts registration for its summer hula and Tahitian classes, held Saturdays from June 19 to Aug. 14 at St. Elizabeth Church in Aiea.All ages and skill levels are welcome.
