Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* NEIGHBORS Aiea Neighborhood Board meets at 7:30 p.m. June 14 at Aiea Library, the Pearl City board meets at 6:30 p.m. June 22 at Waiau District Park, Makakilo-Kapolei-Honokai Hale meets at 7 p.m. June 23, and Waipahu meets at 7 p.m. June 24 at the FilCom Center. Call 768-3710.

* GOLF UPGRADES The city Department of Planning and Permitting has a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. June 15 at Ted Makalena Golf Course on a special management area use permit required to make improvements to the course. Planned are path realignment, grading, landscaping, a detention pond, new fence and pedestrian bridge repairs. The golf course is located at 93-059 Waipio Point Access Road. Call 768-8027.

* BALLROOM DANCE The Pearlridge chapter of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers students for classes in nite club two-step, cha cha and bolero at 7 p.m. June 15, 22, 29 and July 6, 13 and 20 at Waimalu Elementary cafeteria. * MASK THEATRE “The Mask Messenger” performs and talks with keiki at 6 p.m. June 16 at Waipahu Library, bringing Faust Mask Theatre alive in the free program; recommended for ages 6 and up. Call 675-0358.

* DISNEY LUNCHEON Hawaii Society of Business Professionals discusses Aulani, Disney’s Resort & Spa at Ko Olina, at 11:30 a.m. luncheon June 17 in Hawaii Prince Hotel’s Mauna Kea Ballroom. * HALAU ENROLLMENT Halau Hula ‘O Kana Kapeka now accepts students for its summer hula and Tahitian classes, held every Saturday June 19-Aug. 14 at St. Elizabeth Church in Aiea. * RECYCLING SHOW The city Department of Environmental Services presents its educational recycling display at Pearl City Library during the month of June. Call 453-6566.

* COLLECTION DRIVE The Pearl City (98-138 Hila Place) and Kapolei (488 Kamokila Blvd.) locations of Hawaii Self Storage welcome donations for Ho’omalu O Na Kamali’i, a children’s receiving home on the Leeward Coast. Items needed are new clothing, blankets, towels, sports equipment, shoes, slippers, toys, school supplies, backpacks and arts and crafts. Call 521-9531, ext. 224.
