* SHAKESPEARE The Performing Arts Center of Kapolei presents its final staging of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing (as you’ve never seen it before) at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the high school Forum. Tickets cost $6. Call 224-5314.

* MEET THEE AUTHOR Local author Juliet S. Kono reads from and discusses her newest book, Anshu, at 11 a.m. Sept. 25 at Kapolei Library. A Q&A follows the program, which is suitable for ages 12 and up. Call 693-7050.

* TEACHER TOUR Teachers are invited to take a “Discover Recycling” tour from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 25, beginning and ending at Kapolei Hale.
