* KUNIA PARADE Kunia Shopping Center offers caroling, a parade, keiki rides, free balloons, face painting and a visit from Santa from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Dec. 17 on the second level.

* KO OLINA ART The Handcrafters & Artisans Alliance sponsors Artfest at Ko Olina from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 18 in front of Paradise Cove Luau. Call 637-5337.

* EWA BEACH PARADE Ewa Beach Lions Club’s parade is at 10 a.m. Dec. 18, starting and ending at Ilima Intermediate School, with floats, bands and about 1,200 marchers expected. Call Kurt Fevella at 864-4634.

* WAIPAHU PARADE Lighthouse Outreach Center Assembly of God sponsors a parade at 2 p.m. Dec. 18 through Waipahu, starting at the district park and ending at Waipahu Town Center. Call Joe Hunkin Jr. at 225-4589.

* BOOK SIGNING Kapolei resident and Star Advertiser writer Betty Shimabukuro signs copies of her latest cookbook, By Request 2, at noon Dec. 19 at the Pearlridge Borders store. Call 732-1709.

* COLLECTION DRIVE Hawaii Self Storage at Pearl City (98-138 Hila Place) and Kapolei (488 Kamokila Blvd.) welcomes donations for Ho’omalu O Na Kamali’i, a children’s receiving home on the Leeward Coast. * PARENT SUPPORT Leeward Community Children’s Council has free parent support meetings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. every third Wednesday at Kapolei Police Station. All parents of children with special needs are welcome to attend. Call 586-5363.

* SUPPORT GROUPS A Hospice Hawaii grief support group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month (924-9255), and a cancer support group, Hui Malama Kako’o, meets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. every Thursday (except holidays) in the first-floor physicians dining room of Pali Momi hospital (485-4548).
