Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* BOARD The Aiea Neighborhood Board meets at 7:30 p.m. April 9 at Aiea Library. Call 527-5749.

* GOLF The Honolulu Theatre for Youth is hosting its tenth annual “Golf for Youth” tournament at Waikele Golf Club on April 9, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Call 839-9885.

* HIRONO U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono meets with constituents from 9 a.m. to noon April 6 at Kapolei Hale, conference room A. For an appointment, call 541-1986.


* LILY FUNDRAISER A portion of the funds from Easter Lily plants sales at Foodland and Sack ‘N Save stores through April 10 will benefit Easter Seals Hawaii. Call 536-1015.

* LUNCH The Pearl Restaurant is open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 4 and 5 at Leeward Community College. Call 455-0475.

* BLOOD The Hawaii Blood Bank conducts donor drives from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6 at Resurrection of the Lord Church, 94-1260 Lumikula St.; from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7 at Pearlridge Center; and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 15 at Waikele Center (next to Leonard’s Malassadas). Call 845-9966.

* ART Winners of the 2006 Earth Month Photo and Video Contest are on view through April 5 at Kapolei Hale Courtyard.

* PLANTATION VILLAGE The Philippines celebration of Lent, or Pabasa, is planned from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. April 6 at Hawaii’s Plantation Village Social Hall. Call 230-0088. Also at the village, “Relive the Plantation Days” presents a drum festival beginning at 10 a.m. on April 7. Cost is $4 kamaaina and military, children under 12 are free. Call 677-0110.


* FOOTBALL The Pearl City Highlands Colts hold registration for football and cheerleading on Saturdays in April and May (except for May 12). Signups will run from 9 a.m. to noon at Manana Neighborhood Park (1550 Kuahaka St.) in Pearl City. Call 330-3676.

* THE BARD The Hawaii Shakespeare Festival holds auditions from 1 to 4 p.m. April 10 at Leeward Community College Lab Theatre for its sixth season of plays, to be staged in August at The ARTS at Marks Garage. Call 256-6657.

* BALLROOM DANCE The Pearlridge chapter of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association registers students April 10 and 17 for classes in nightclub two-step, waltz and mambo in the Waimalu Elementary School cafeteria (98-825 Moanalua Road). * ROTARY Kapolei Rotary Club presents “Evening at Lanikuhonua” from 6 to 9:30 p.m April 13 at Ko Olina Resort. Tickets are $40, covering food, beer, wine and live entertainment by H2O. Call 674-2500.

* TALK STORY State Sen. Mike Gabbard and Rep. Sharon Har host a “talk story” in the Royal Kunia Community Association Board Room (above the Kunia Times Super Market) at 9 a.m. April 14. Gabbard also will host a talk story at the Kapolei Starbucks (outside seating, near the Chevron Station) at 9 a.m. April 28. Call 586-6830.

* ROYAL BAND The Royal Hawaiian Band performs a free concert at Kapolei Hale at noon April 18. Call 523-4141.

* GUITARISTS Leeward Community College presents the LCC Guitars performing works by Albeniz, Joplin, Machado, Mozart and others at 4 p.m. April 22. Admission is $5. Call 455-0385.

* BOOKS Borders Waikele hosts three monthly reading groups: Bestsellers at 7 p.m. on the second Wednesday; Romance Readers Anonymous at 6:30 p.m. on the second Thursday; and International Women’s Writing Guild at 7 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday. Call 676-6699.

* WAIPAHU STORYTIME Waipahu Library (94-275 Mokuola St.) has free storytime and activities for keiki ages 3 to 5 at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays through April 17. Call 675-0358.

* PEARL CITY STORYTIME Pearl City Library (1138 Waimano Home Road) has free weekly storytime at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays through May 24 for keiki 2 and older and Thursdays for toddlers. Call 453-6566.

* KAPOLEI STORYTIME Kapolei Library offers free weekly storytime for toddlers age 2 to 3 Mondays and for preschoolers Thursdays and Saturdays through April 28; both sessions begin at 10 a.m. Call 693-7050.
