Below are highlights of what’s coming up in West Oahu.

* GRADUATIONS Kapolei High ceremonies are at 6 p.m. June 1 in the school stadium; Pearl City’s are at 5:30 p.m. June 2 at Aloha Stadium; Waipahu’s are at 6 p.m. June 3 at Blaisdell Arena; Campbell’s are at 5:30 pm. June 6 at Aloha Stadium; and Aiea’s are at 6 p.m. June 8 at Aloha Stadium.

* BOWLERS The Alumni Reunion of the Leeward Junior Bowling Club is 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 2 at Leeward Bowl in Pearl City. Call 455-4580 or 455-8839.

* SOCCER Tryouts for the Ka’oi Soccer Club run from 8:45 a.m. to noon June 2 and 3 at Waiau District Park. Call Rich Fajardo at 348-6894.


* BLOOD Hawaii Blood Bank conducts a donor drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 2 at Pearlridge Center. Call 845-9966.

* CONCERT The Honolulu Chorale presents its 41st annual spring concert at 7 p.m. June 2 at Pearl City Cultural Center,featuring Cathy Foy. Tickets are $10 for age 11 and up. Call 680-7702.

* JAZZERCISE Jazzercise celebrates the grand opening of its Pearl City classes at 8:30 a.m. June 2 at Pearl City Elementary School on Waimano Home Road. Visit www.jazzaiea.com

* LISTEN-STORY State Sen. Mike Gabbard hosts a “listen-story” meeting at 9 a.m. June 2 at Waikele Elementary School cafeteria. Call 586-6830.

* MELE West Oahu band Keauwena performs at 1 p.m. June 3 in a Na Mele Nei concert at Ward Warehouse. Call 596-8885.

* SPEAKERS Ewa Toastmasters Club meets at 7 p.m. June 6 at Kahi Mohala. Also known as the Communication Club, members work to improve their public speaking, leadership and listening skills. The club meets each first and third Thursday. Call 343-1489.

* PALISADES Pacific Palisades Community Association meets at 7 p.m. June 6 at its community center, 2106 Aamanu St. Call 455-5182.

* HEARING The city Planning and Permitting Department holds a public hearing at 1:30 p.m. June 7 in its eighth-floor conference room on South King Street to hear Easter Seals Society’s request for a zone change in Makakilo. The change would allow a proposed meeting facility to exceed the height limit. Call 768-8022.

* ROBOTS The national touring show Robots: The Interactive Exhibition, opens June 8 at Pearlridge, offering hands-on activities for all ages through Aug. 5 in both Uptown and Downtown center courts. Call 349-8221.


* CANCER American Cancer Society’s Kapolei Relay for Life is from 7 p.m. June 9 to 7 a.m. June 10 on the Kapolei High School field. Call 486-8420.

* ORCHIDS Aiea Orchid Club’s annual show is June 15-17 at Aiea Elementary School. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 15, 9 to 6 June 16, and 9 to 3 June 17. Donation is $2.

* KAPOLEI PLAYTIME Kapolei Library has play time with educational toys for toddlers and preschoolers at 10 a.m. Thursdays through May 31. Call 693-7050.
