Aloha Stadium completed renovations last year, and to top off the changes, the Stadium Authority invites high school students to create a mural for the main inner tunnel.

The theme of the mural is “What the Aloha Stadium means to you.”

Time is running out for the mural contest, as entries are due by 5 p.m. Feb. 10.

In order to participate, students must submit an application, including a sample of the drawing that they would like to contribute to the mural.

All Oahu high school students, public and private, are welcome to apply as groups or as individuals.

Samples of original artwork can be in either black and white or color and should represent the significance of the stadium. Adapting an existing picture is not acceptable, however.

Schools can submit up to three pieces of art, but only one piece will be selected for the mural from each school.

All submissions will become property of Aloha Stadium and will not be returned.

Students who are selected must be available to paint between March 12 and 17, March 24 and 25, and March 31 and April 1.

Paint and supplies will be provided.
