Junge Kammerphilhar-monie Freiburg performs Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Honolulu Symphony Chorus at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at Pearl City Cultural Center.

Tickets cost $20 general admission, $15 student/military.

Under the direction of conductor Andreas Winnen, the German orchestra of 80 musicians was founded in 1995, and has performed chamber works to rave reviews in Italy and South America. It will be completing its first U.S. tour with two performances in Hawaii.


The orchestra also will perform Verdi’s Requiem with the symphony chorus’ artistic director Esther Yoo at 8 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.
