Card Contest Aims To Find Creative Cupids

Del.icio.usWaipio Shopping Center invites young romantics to enter its 12th annual Valentine Card Contest. Entry forms are available at all 39 shopping center tenants and at neighboring Kanoelani Elementary School.
Entries for the “Most Beautifully Creative Valentine Card” are due before judging begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at the center (94-1040 Waipio Uka St., across from Central Oahu Regional Park).
First- to third-place cash prizes of $50, $25 and $10, respectively, will be awarded in three age groups: under 7, 7-12 and 12-18 years old.
All cards will find a special place in someone heart, as those not chosen as a prize winner will be donated to St. Francis Hospice in Waipahu and Kalihi. Patients at both locations will receive a card with their meal tray on Valentine’s Day.
