Women In Need, a nonprofit organization that helps families get off drugs, off the streets and out of abusive relationships, will host an inaugural golf benefit Sept. 23 at Waikele Country Club to raise funds for its clients and programs.

“We take a warm, holistic approach, considering the needs of the entire family and joining it with ours,” said executive director Mary Scott-Lau.

The shotgun scramble begins at 12:30 p.m. and features buffet dining, prizes and live entertainment by Na Hoku award-winners Na Leo Pilimehana and Mailani, formerly of Keahiwai.

Entry fee is $150 per person or $500 for a team of four. Silver ($1,500) and Bronze ($1,000) sponsorship packages still are available. Entry forms can be downloaded at winhawaii.org.
