The Ewa Beach Community Fund is now accepting proposals from nonprofits to win grants of up to $5,000 per year for ongoing programs and up to $2,500 per year for a single event (or up to $5,000 for multiple events).

“Organizations may apply for up to two years of funding at these levels,” explained Frances Rivero of the fund’s advisory council.

Funds will be awarded to nonprofits based in the Ewa area, or who are partners with Ewa organizations, to benefit the surrounding community.

“Preference also is given to projects involving or serving youths or the elderly,” Rivero added.

Proposals must be postmarked by April 16 and mailed to the Hawaii Community Foundation’s Oahu office: 1164 Bishop St., Suite 800, Honolulu, HI 96813, attention: Terry Savage. Decisions will be made by June.

Request for Proposals Guidelines may be downloaded from Hawaii Community Foundation’s Web site, www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org. For more information, contact Savage at 566-5508 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
