Honu Race Will Support West Oahu Boys & Girls Clubhouses

The Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii is gearing up for its fifth annual Honu Race set for March 20 at Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii water park.

With the purchase of one of the 3,000 rubber turtles available, supporters can join the race for prizes for an adoption fee of $23 (which includes park admission through 4 p.m.). Additional honu can be adopted for $5 to increase the chance of a first-place finish. Prizes include a $1,000 Chevron with Techron gift card, a Wet ‘n’ Wild Hawaii family pack for six, $100 gift certificate for Big City Diner and $75 gift certificate for McDonald’s.


The honu will take their mark at 9:30 a.m., followed by activities and a mini-concert by ‘Ike Pono. Water park attractions are scheduled to open at 10:30 a.m.

All proceeds benefit the Leeward Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii clubhouses.
