West Oahu farmers have until April 5 to submit a pre-proposal request to the Aiea-based Oahu Resource Conservation and Development Council for grants of up to $50,000.

Projects must “strengthen and promote Oahu’s agricultural businesses and increase the capabilities of local farmers, ranchers and agricultural entrepreneurs.”

To download application forms, go to www.oahurcd.org or call 483-8600, ext. 122.

Examples of projects funded in the past: fish tank installation, land preparation, irrigation upgrades, processing equipment, greenhouse purchase and installation.
