Honolulu Board of Water Supply and the Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden will host the 22nd annual open house and unthirsty plant sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the garden.

The plant sale features a wide variety of “unthirsty” and native plants from local nurseries, with proceeds going to support educational programs and classes at the garden.

The open house also includes a full day of activities such as composting and rain barrels, children’s games, garden planning, a scavenger hunt and free mulch giveaway. (Visitors must bring their own mulch containers.)

Visitors can park along Iwaena and Iwaiwa streets, with a free shuttle running from 8:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m. along Iwaena Street.
