Save On Marathon’s Early Signup Dates

Del.icio.usRunners anxious to get a leg up on early registration for the 38th Honolulu Marathon will be pleased to learn the annual walk-up entry is set from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Waikele Shopping Center Sports Authority.
Entry fee on those two days will be $45. Forms also are available by self-addressed, stamped envelope sent to the Honolulu Marathon office at 3435 Waialae Ave., Honolulu, HI, 96816. Mail-in/fax deadline for early entry rate is June 26.
Regular fee for local residents is $95 until Nov. 5. Registration during the Honolulu Marathon Expo, Dec. 8-11 at the convention center, will cost $240.
The marathon, which covers 26.2 miles from Ala Moana, through downtown, out to Hawaii Kai and back to the finish line at Kapiolani Park, is scheduled to start at 5 a.m. Dec. 12.
