Pride 4 Ewa celebrates its 15th year of bringing safe, family-friendly fun to the Ewa plain next month, and organizers need volunteers to make this year’s Pride the best yet.

On the agenda so far are military displays, community groups, food vendors, crafters and live entertainment by local talent Maunalua, Kawao, Kapena, Sunway and Al Waterson Karaoke Contest winners. Deadline to be part of it all is April 15. For more information and application forms, visit http://www.ewabygentry.net and click on “Pride 4 Ewa.”

Folks also are encouraged to bring canned food or monetary donations for Hawaii Foodbank. Donations will be collected at the Ewa by Gentry Community Association tent, and donors receive a wristband granting free access to all rides.

Festivities are planned from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 8 at Keanui Park (mauka end of Keanui Drive in Ewa Beach). Parking and shuttle service will be available next to the entrance to Hawaii Prince golf course. For more information, call Alex Rodriguez at 384-8583.
