Del.icio.usThe Hawaii Ohana 4 Ewa Foundation and Ewa Beach Lions Club put on a benefit concert and fair Dec. 5 for the residents and families who live in ZIP code 96706.
The inaugural bash was created to help support youths and sports organizations in the community, as well as give folks a fun time with food, crafts, inflatable jumpers, games and live entertainment by Nesian N.I.N.E. and Rebel Souljahz. Sixty percent of proceeds from ticket sales went directly back to young athletes, while Hawaii Ohana 4 Ewa received the rest. The newly formed nonprofit encourages teamwork, self-esteem, discipline, sportsmanship, goal-setting, determination, perseverance, leadership, physical well-being and talent in youths.
