Family Programs Hawaii and Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park usually team up to throw a summer picnic for some of the 4,000 children and families in Hawaii helped by the social service agency.

But last month marked the first time the rides and attractions at the Kapolei park were open for an early Christmas celebration. “Our aim is to provide the most memorable Christmas possible for Hawaii’s foster children, because every child deserves to spend the holidays in a loving family environment,” said Linda Santos, president and CEO of Family Programs Hawaii.

No doubt the keiki had a blast with festivities that included a photo op with a Hawaiian Santa, arts and crafts, and radio station giveaways.

The UH Warriors even took time out of their busy practice schedule to drop by and greet their youngest fans. A portion of the Santa photography proceeds benefited Family Programs Hawaii.
