E.K. Fernandez’s Central Oahu Carnival

Families across Oahu were in for a real summertime treat the weekend of July 18-20 as E.K. Fernandez Shows Inc. put up the big top for the first-ever Central Oahu Carnival at Patsy Mink Central Oahu Regional Park in Waipahu. All of the rides local fair-goers have come to know and love from E.K. Fernandez - the Zipper, Pharoah’s Fury, Traffic Jam - were there, along with giant slides, sideshow games and a mini-coaster. And what would a carnival be without the Ferris wheel or merry-go-round? This carnival left no stone unturned. There was also plenty of oogey-gooey carnie foods, circus acts, a backyard circus and family puppet parade, even racing pigs! Now that’s certainly something to squeal about - plus, portion of the proceeds went to D.A.R.E.
