Ewa Orchid Society’s annual orchid and plant show and sale was in full bloom on the weekend of July 13, 14 and 15, with more than 2,500 guests admiring the beautiful and intricate displays.

Eleven vendors and five societies — Aiea, Kunia, Ewa, Honolulu and Windward — created a veritable garden overnight at Ewa Elementary School. Linda Domingo, an Ewa society board member, served as show chair. Judging began the night before the show.

The show attracted some visitors to check out the award winning plants, and some enjoyed the scented orchids, while others meandered about taking pictures of the robust and colorful blooms, and many chatted and were full of smiles after bumping into friends and acquaintances, while yet others hunted for bargains.
