The Dyslexia Tutoring Center of Hawaii (DTCH) threw its first-ever fundraiser Oct. 11 at Pipeline Cafe, with live music by Na Hoku Hanohano-award winners Hoku Zuttermeister, Natalie Ai Kamauu, Brother Noland and Hot Rain taking the stage in support of the Ewa Beach nonprofit and its mission of providing assistance and acceptance for those with this learning disability.

“Our fundraiser went wonderful, and the entertainment was awesome!” said DTCH founder and executive director Margarette Pang. “Donations are still coming in at this time, and DTCH succeeded in raising awareness on dyslexia in the state of Hawaii. We are already in the process of planning next year’s event.”
