The Lokahi Giving Project decided to celebrate the season in style Dec. 9 with a holiday party at Borders Books in Waikele Center. The night started on a high note with a performance by Our Lady of Perpetual Help Young Adult Choir, and the merriment continued when entertainers Na Leo sang a few carols from their new CD, Hawaiian Holidays.

MidWeek’s very own publisher, Ron Nagasawa, played St. Nick for the night as he signed copies of the freshly released Sanity In Paradise???, a collection of those hilarious, real-life stories Ron has penned down each week for the last 11 years in his What’s Next column. You can find the book at Waikele Borders as well as Barnes & Noble in Ala Moana, or call your favorite book retailer for availability. Part of all proceeds support the Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Ron, a Waipahu resident, returns to Borders at noon Dec. 20 to sign more copies. Call 676-6699.
