Hope Chapel West Oahu brought “da house down” Nov. 19 with its second Thanksgiving luau. Guests poured into the Waikele Elementary School cafeteria, topping the chapel’s 2004 luau attendance of 1,500. The party began at 10 a.m. with music from the worship team followed by words of inspiration from Senior Pastor Mike Kai. Dawn O’Brien and Tony Silva emceed, while hula dancers and musicians Kelly Boy DeLima and Kapena, Keahiwai and Nathan Aweau of Hapa took to the stage. Attendees enjoyed Hawaiian food, and the keiki stayed busy with a rock-climbing wall, Ferris wheel, bouncers and shave ice. Hope Chapel West Oahu also holds Christmas Eve services at 9 and 11 a.m. Dec. 24. Call 677- 8844.
