HWB’s Youth Baseball Clinic

Little Leaguers from Pearl City, Waipio, Waialua and Waipahu turned out Nov. 17 for a youth baseball clinic hosted by Hawaii Winter Baseball’s Honu. The gathering at Central Oahu Regional Park also was attended by members of the Hawaii Optometric Association, who were on hand to provide instruction in techniques for early detection of the spin and direction of the ball. Managers, coaches and players from Major League Baseball organize the youth clinics in the spirit of giving back to the Hawaii community. The West Oahu CaneFires also conducted a clinic at the park earlier in the HWB season on Oct. 20.
